Fördermöglichkeiten

Das ECRT will insbesondere den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs beim Aufbau eigener Forschungsvorhaben unterstützen. Dafür bietet das ECRT Einstein Kickboxen mit einer Startfinanzierung für erste Experimente zur Validierung der Forschungsideen sowie ECRT Research oder Consumable Grants zur Weiterentwicklung der Forschungsvorhaben.

Einstein Kickbox

The Einstein Kickbox will enable teams of scientists to develop new research projects. It will provide a €1,000 voucher for BioThinking support (BioThinking coach + coaching methods) and seed money to develop an idea into a research project during the six-month Kickbox period.

Einstein Kickbox - Young Scientists

The Einstein Kickbox - Young Scientists provides € 5,000 seed money to develop an idea into a research project. Teams comprising Master’s students, doctoral or early career postdoctoral researchers are eligible to apply for this Kickbox and usually only need the approval of their supervisors to proceed. After developing their research project during this six-month Kickbox period, the teams are eligible to apply for an ECRT Consumable Grant.

Note of intention: Teams who intend to apply need to notify sabine.bartosch(at)charite.de no later than the 15th October 2020.

Deadline of application:  Please submit your written application and the audio PowerPoint presentation no later than the 20th November 2020

Defense of your proposal: Teams who submitted a proposal will have to defend their project proposal on 8th December 2019.

Einstein Kickbox - Advanced Scientists

The Einstein Kickbox – Advanced Scientists provides € 10,000 seed money to develop an idea into a research project. This Einstein Kickbox requires the participation of at least one early career scientist and two senior scientists. The teams are encouraged to use the six-month Kickbox period to develop a research proposal in order to apply for further financial support from third party funding organisations such as DFG, BMBF.

ECRT Grants

The ECRT Grants enable teams of scientists to further advance their initial research projects that have been developed in the Einstein Kickbox programme. These grants will support and promote mainly early career scientists.

ECRT Consumable Grant

The ECRT Consumable Grants will enable teams of young scientists to do their own independent small research projects that they have developed with the help of the Einstein Kickbox – Young Scientists during the six-month Kickbox programme. The ECRT Consumable Grant comprises € 10,000 for research consumables but can also be used for travel expenses or a student assistant. It will also provide a € 1,000 voucher for BioThinking support.

ECRT Research Grant

The ECRT Research Grants will enabl to enable early career scientists to further advance their own independent research concept with the support of experienced senior scientists. It will provide three year funding of a doctoral researcher. It will also provide an optional € 1,000 voucher for BioThinking support. The ECRT Research Grant requires the participation of at least one early career scientist and at least two senior scientists. The doctoral researchers, who will be fundet by the ECT, will be recruited through the BSRT’s international calls for applications and will take part in the mentoring and education programme of this graduate school.
