Fördermöglichkeiten

Das ECRT will insbesondere den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs beim Aufbau eigener Forschungsvorhaben unterstützen. Dafür bietet das ECRT Einstein Kickboxen mit einer Startfinanzierung für erste Experimente zur Validierung der Forschungsideen sowie ECRT Research oder Consumable Grants zur Weiterentwicklung der Forschungsvorhaben.

Einstein Kickbox

The Einstein Kickbox will enable teams of scientists to develop new research projects.

Einstein Kickbox - Young Scientists

The Einstein Kickbox - Young Scientists provides € 6,000 seed money to develop an idea into a research project. Teams comprising Master’s students, doctoral or early career postdoctoral researchers are eligible to apply for this Kickbox and usually only need the approval of their supervisors to proceed. After developing their research project during this six-month Kickbox period, the teams are eligible to apply for an ECRT Consumable Grant.

Einstein Kickbox - Advanced Scientists

The Einstein Kickbox – Advanced Scientists provides € 12,000 seed money to develop an idea into a research project. This Einstein Kickbox requires the participation of at least one early career scientist and two senior scientists. The teams are encouraged to use the six-month Kickbox period to develop a research proposal in order to apply for further financial support from third party funding organisations such as DFG, BMBF.

ECRT Grants

The ECRT Grants enable teams of scientists to further advance their initial research projects that have been developed in the Einstein Kickbox programme. These grants will support and promote mainly early career scientists.

ECRT Consumable Grant - Young Scientists

The ECRT Consumable Grant - Young Scientists will enable teams of young scientists to do their own independent small research projects that they have developed with the help of the Einstein Kickbox – Young Scientists during the six-month Kickbox programme. The ECRT Consumable Grant comprises € 12,000 for research consumables.

The ECRT Consumable Grant - Advanced Scientists will enable teams of at least one early career scientist an two senior scientists to advance their project towards publication. The ECRT Consumable Grant - Advanced comprises € 24,000 for research consumables.

ECRT Career Kickoff Grants

The ECRT Kickoff Grants promote young scientists to further advance their career as a scientists.

ECRT Career Kickoff - PhD

The ECRT wants to enable doctoral researchers who are working in the field of regenerative medicine to finalise their doctoral project. Doctoral researchers who are members of the BSRT or BCRT network and need funding for their final year to complete their experiments for their doctoral project are eligible to apply. The ECRT Career Kickoff - PhD will provide funding of a 65% E13 position at the Charité for up to one year. The earliest time point of the start of the contract will be 1 January 2023. This is subject to funds being available from the Einstein Foundation Berlin and depends on the personnel department.

ECRT Career Kickoff - Postdoc

The ECRT aims to support early career scientists who are in the process of developing their own independent research career and are submitting or have submitted an application for funding for their own position to a third party funding organisation and need funding for their position in the meantime while they wait for their proposal to be evaluated. Early career scientist (i.e. a postdoctoral researcher who graduated less than five years ago or an advanced doctoral research who will graduate within the next six months) and who are members of the BSRT or BCRT network can apply. The ECRT Career Kickoff - Postdoc will provide funding of a 100% E13 position at the Charité for up to one year. The earliest time point of the start of the contract will be 1 January 2023. This is subject to funds being available from the Einstein Foundation Berlin and depends on the personnel department.
